A strategic upgrading of an existing office tower to improve sustainability, tenant experience, and operational efficiency. It has achieved Green Mark Platinum.
In the heart of Singapore’s Raffles Place, Chevron House has long stood as a prominent feature of the city’s financial skyline. With the implementation of a forward-looking Asset Enhancement Initiative (AEI), the iconic tower has undergone a transformative upgrade—redefining its sustainability profile, tenant experience, and operational efficiency to meet the evolving demands of modern urban workspaces.

Breathing New Life into a Prime CBD Asset

Rather than rebuild, the AEI approach at Chevron House prioritizes adaptive reuse, optimizing the original structure while integrating advanced systems, reconfigured layouts, and refreshed public spaces. The result is a revitalized commercial tower that retains its strategic location and architectural presence while delivering improved value for both occupants and investors. Key interventions include enhancements to façade performance, vertical transportation systems, common areas, and energy infrastructure—all designed to uplift the building’s long-term performance without compromising its identity.

Green Mark Platinum: A Benchmark for Sustainable Upgrades

Through this enhancement initiative, Chevron House has achieved Green Mark Platinum certification, signifying its exemplary performance in energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable operations. Advanced HVAC retrofitting, energy-efficient lighting, water conservation fixtures, and integrated building management systems all contribute to significant reductions in environmental impact. This project highlights the strategic importance of retrofitting in achieving national sustainability targets, especially in land-constrained, high-density urban cores like Singapore’s CBD.
