Iconic integrated development in Downtown Core, designed to set new standards for green architecture. Certified Green Mark Platinum (Non-Residential & Residential Buildings).
8 Shenton Way is a landmark integrated tower in Singapore’s Downtown Core, combining biophilic design with office, residential, and hospitality uses in a vertical ecosystem inspired by bamboo groves. Certified Green Mark Platinum for both residential and non-residential components, the project targets Super Low Energy performance. With BSD Group as sustainability consultant, it stands as a global model for next-generation green skyscrapers.

A Vertical City Rooted in Nature

Designed by the world-renowned Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), 8 Shenton Way is more than a skyscraper—it is a vertical ecosystem that fuses workplace, residential, hospitality, and lifestyle spaces into one self-sustaining urban organism. The tower’s silhouette, inspired by bamboo groves, reflects a delicate balance between strength and sustainability, rising gracefully above the city’s dense fabric. At every level, biophilic strategies are deeply embedded: sky terraces, vertical gardens, and lush communal zones offer a seamless interaction with nature. The integration of greenery is not only aesthetic but also functional — contributing to passive cooling, improved air quality, and occupant well-being.

Green Mark Platinum for Holistic Sustainability

Both the Residential and Non-Residential components of 8 Shenton Way are Green Mark Platinum-certified, signifying its commitment to exceptional environmental performance. Advanced façade systems, low-carbon materials, smart energy monitoring, and renewable-ready infrastructure underscore the project’s Super Low Energy (SLE) ambitions. The tower’s orientation, natural ventilation channels, and daylight harvesting design reduce dependency on mechanical systems, enhancing operational efficiency. As a result, 8 Shenton Way is poised to deliver long-term environmental, economic, and social value at a metropolitan scale.
