Following a S$560 million redevelopment, Funan officially relaunched in June 2019 as an experiential creative hub. The dramatic six-level "Tree of Life" atrium sculpture—a fusion of wood and steel spanning from Basement 2 through level 4—serves as the mall’s iconic centerpiece. Topping the mall’s seventh floor lies an 18,000 ft² urban garden and 4,000 ft² farm managed by Edible Garden City. Accompanying amenities include a dedicated Bicycle Hub with 166 bays, showers, lockers, and repair stations. More than 180 concept stores populate Funan, with over 60% local brands and 30% new-to-market flagships. Tech innovation is central: KOPItech food court features self-ordering kiosks, conveyor belts, and robots returning used trays; FairPrice Finest offers mobile checkout; and drive-through pick-up services and in-mall delivery robots blend online and offline shopping.

Funan fosters creativity through dedicated "passion clusters"—Tech, Fit, and Taste—featuring immersive attractions like Dyson’s flagship store, drone demos, and eSports zones. Entertainment venues include Golden Village’s multi-dimensional seven-screen cinema and Wild Rice Theatre’s 380-seat studio, alongside a snazzy 150-seat amphitheater.
